Robotics
Supporting hands-on robotics programs in middle and high schools is crucial for fostering STEM-related learning and developing essential skills in our future workforce. These programs provide students with practical exposure to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts, making learning more engaging and relevant. By working on real-world projects, students not only enhance their problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities but also spark their interest in STEM careers. Hands-on robotics initiatives help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its application, preparing students to tackle the technological challenges of the future and driving innovation and competitiveness in the global economy
FIRST Robotics
Since 2017, the Foundation and Ashley Furniture Industries has sponsored FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Along with support from industry experts serving as coaches, high school students are learning and applying the fundamentals of engineering, science, and technology to become leaders and innovators.
VEX Robotics
VEX Robotics allows students to learn through exploration and engagement, while creating a desire to succeed as they become leaders in STEM. Since 2017, the Foundation and Ashley Furniture Industries has supported local K-12 schools with equipment and instructor training to begin and compete in extracurricular robotics programs as well as enhance educational curriculum.
